Get help citing sources in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles.

Using This Guide

Citations tend to be students' least favorite part of research--but there are so many resources available to support you! To use this guide, first select an appropriate citation style for your research in the left menu. Use the information below to help make the decision, but generally at COCC, unless noted by your instructor, you can select any style as long as you're consistent!

  • Chicago Manual Style (CMS) is an alternative to MLA used primarily when writing on topics related to art, history, and literature.
